Co-operative Puja celebrated its 36th year (Since 1976) of Durgotsav from 01st oct to 06th October with great pomp & show. According to Mr. Subir Datta, secretary of Co-Operative Ground Durga Puja Samity, Its the only Durga Puja Samity in Delhi which have won "Times Of India's - DurgaDevi Namustute" Award every year since 2005 (award was instituted same year). This year bagged the 2nd best Pandal Theme award. In 2010 it won the 1st Prize in the same category. This year the theme was Green Environment where the pandal was given a Stalagmite Cave look with 4 live running waterfalls and greenery all over to create a niche for nature. The Idol was created by natural food & fruit colors to simply state the theme "Save Yamuna From Chemicals". The Idol was well acclaimed by visitors, artist, sculptors and was covered by almost all media channels and newspaper agencies.
