Khidderpore Palli Sharodiya - Mahamayar mayajaal

Durga Puja festival is more popular for its social connotations rather than religious nuance. The celebration takes place in all parts of India and also at abroad. But for the Bengalis in West Bengal, the celebration provides the opportunity to understand the ‘Bengali spirit’ andkjl vibrancy more deeply and affectionately. Durga Puja is an occasion of citizens to bring together the constructive steps and negate all perils and evils driven out from the Society, like Goddess Durga emerges with her weapons to defeat dark evils. She provides the mental and physical support to each and every dream, the lights and ray of hopes.

This year Khidderpore palli Sharodiya is going to celebrate 67th years. A unique, practically articulated with innovative and traditional dresses of the Goddess conceived by Shri Susanta Pal. This year the theme will be  "Mahamayar Mayajaal". The Pandal and all interior decorations will have several self-creative and displayable artistic events, which will be exclusively on Bamboo Carpet frames – an art that is truly unique. The materials used are net, fabric, poli carbonate, toka, glass painting  so that the Pandal becomes a non-inflammable and fire resistant one. The Durga Puja venue will feature a simple illumination but will visualize dazzling and colourful lightings on both inside and outside the Pandal arena and also on either sides of  the road.
