Believe it or not, but the stars do play an active role in destining our fate. In the era of globalization and internet take a look at one of the oldest science of calculation of our past, present and future by positions of the stars, Chakradhara. This is the theme of Bosepukur Sitala Mandir Sarbajanin Durgotsab, 2010.

This unique concept is brain child of Sri Shiv Shanjar Das. Gana Decorator is giving the concept its structural shape as the puja mandap. Naaiya Electric is lighting up the venue. Renowned artist Sri Naba Kumar Pal of Kumartuli is traditionally decking up Maa’s earthen idol.

The manap will be inaugurated on Tritiya/Chaurthi that is on 10th/11th October, 2010, for the visitors. Mr. Paritash Dutta, secretary of the committee humbly invites everyone to grace the venue with your presence.

Hall of Fame: The committee started this puja as any other para puja in 1951. On their 25the anniversary they presented the theme of Juddhangdehi, which earned the puja fame and today it is one of the most renowned progressive pujas of Kolkata.

Bosepukur Sitala Mandir has won many prizes under various categories. Last year itself the puja was honoured with 11 prizes. Pratidin’s Jana Pratinidhi and Exide’s Ami Sreshtha are just two of them.

Committee for the Society: The committee not only presents Kolkata with amazing pujas every year, they serve the society for its well being to their strength. Free health checkup camps are regularly organized under the supervision of National Medical College. Blood donation camps, free eye check up camps, free treatment of thalassaemia for the underprivileged are must haves in their social service calendars.

Reach out: The puja falls on the most commuted way of South Kolkata. Just drive towards Ruby General Hospital from Gariahat and the puja falls midway. Reach Bosepukur Sitala Mandir landmark or Bosepukur petro pump stoppage landmark, both are on the same venue, and there you are beneath the sky between the star play.
